Welcome to Picture This, a brand new way to improve your photography in a friendly environment.
Picture This is built on community and so as we launch we need as many of you as possible to contribute to the site. As time goes by the community will build, along with the number of photos, tasks, tutorials and most importantly advice on how you can take the perfect picture, no matter what your subject is.
Picture This is about enabling you to be the best photographer you can. Get involved today and keep coming back to the community in the coming weeks to both improve your own, and help others to, develop your photographic skills.
Picture This invites you to join a friendly community with a common purpose. We’re all here all on the quest to take a better photo.
That means – getting supportive useful feedback from our peers, picking up tips, inspiration, innovative techniques and insights by taking part in weekly project challenges, commenting and rating each other’s work constructively.
And some of us will have our work professionally critiqued by the Picture This judges and our photos featured on TV. Register here to get involved.
Picture This works in partnership with Flickr, so to add photos you need to have a Flickr account. Then you will need to allow Picture This to access the Flickr photos you want to upload here. This shouldn’t take too long and you keep control over what happens to your photos.
Once you've registered with Flickr and authorised the site to access your selected photos you will be able to:
- Build your portfolio and upload photos to the projects
- Get useful and constructive comments on your work
- Comment and rate other people's photos
- Get your work on TV if it's rated highly by a Picture This judge
When you give us permission to access your Flickr photos:
- We will never publish all your Flickr photos
- Picture This will only use the Flickr photos you select
- The judges will not review every single photo in your Flickr account
