streets in the sky
this photo was taken as part of my view of britain project... i wanted to look at poverty in one of the worlds richest cities.... what i like about the image is the way how the corridor seems to go on forever showing no life, until you see the dark sillouette of a bystander lookin out onto a rather depressing view... when i was younger i often had to pas through this council etate to vist my dad at work, it had been almost 10 years since i last stepped into that estate... it still managed to fill me with a dull lifelessness...
This photo has been digitally retouched.
the editing process was quite simple, i originally took the photo in colour so first i desaturated the image then i played around with the highlight/midtone/shadows and slightly increased the harpness of the image
