    Its a nice shot, you definitely have an eye for taking portraits. I'd agree with Anthony that the background is a bit distracting and also that the shot is a bit tightly cropped, especially around the head. An alternative to blackening the background, which I think would work better, would be to softly blur it. If you can set the apeture setting on your camera then setting it "wide open" e.g. the lowest f number would blur the background on any picture you take, but you can get a similar effect in your photo edit software by selecting just the backgound and experimenting with the blur tools. cheers Al
