  I like the portrait part of this image, but my eye keeps going to the cupboard handles. Perhaps you could try a version with darkening the background or even removing part of it.

  I believe that if the background was less busy, for example there was no door handles etc just blank canvas then the audiences attention would be attracted first and foremost to you. I like the detail that the camera has picked up on such as the details on your shirt and detail around the eyes.
