Seeing red
I took this photo during the Christmas period...the pattern is an out-of-focus shot of some red lights on a tree in someone's front garden at night. I choose my perspective and composition, allowed the camera to focus the shot, then manually defocussed to achieve the bokeh. The f/1.8 aperture of the 50mm lens I used allowed the wonderful bokeh.
This photo has been digitally retouched.
Cropped for a tighter composition and the background was darkened a little to isolute the lights.
