To rate a Photo:

This photo was taken whilst filming a short film at college. I had taken my camera to document it so that I could leave relevant notes within my work. The person in the shot was intended to be a mysterious dream representation of the main character in the film. The actual shot came about during a break in filming and I seized the opportunity and the result - I felt - was fantastic.

This photo has been digitally retouched.

I used photoshop to edit the levels and play with the colours a bit in order to give it a more dreamy and surreal feel whilst at the same time giving it contrast. The contrast was neccessary as the man in the suit was a mirrored representation of a character, who in reality, was completely sociopathic. This figure then haunts that persons dreams. Dreams which he thought was his only escape from his miserable reality. (A no doubt confusing explanation. If so I apologise.)

A nice juxtaposition, works well. The dof fades the background well, perhaps the person might have been in a more surreal unusual pose, but it's a good capture. cheers Al
