Outside In
This is a smaller portion of the ruins in my last post showing the 2 1/2 foot thick walls. The trees that you see invading the mill have entered through the ground level windows. For those of you old enough to remember, this photo reminds me of the book "The Day of the Triffids" that was required reading back when I was in Public School. It was a story of how Mother Nature turned on Mankind through Triffids (a type of plant). ~~~~ From Iris :-) if "triffids" existed would have made it easy for all when men needed to scale a large wall rescuing damsels you had to be bold these invading trees could have been their scaffold ~~~ There is a nice little water fall by the mill that I missed but my buddy Kevin Pepper shot and did a really good job of.
