To rate a Photo:

this was initially a really dull photo i took of some flamingos in a zoo in Texas. i was going to through the image out but just out of interest increased the contrast and darks, and then the image got exciting. then i spent a good while playing with tiny incrimental changes in colours contrast saturation etc untill i was finally happy. moral of the story, dont throw out your images too quickly

This photo has been digitally retouched.

lots of lightroom changes.

Leads the ey well to the right, with the fantastic result at the end. Gives the feeling of stage lighting for a ballet. For the life of me I can't remember the one it reminds me of? :)

Lovely image, very surreal. Your editing has transformed them completely, so that they are almost not birds at all any more. I’m not a big fan of Photoshop – it’s often over-used - but you have certainly made something really interesting here.
