The Rose Tree - Forget you not
This photo was taken of the roses placed at the tree that was planted after my grandmothers death. The roses were placed there earlier that day by my grandfather. This combines two things that are very important and prominent in my life. Firstly, my grandmother was hugely important in my life and she was someone i was very close to and secondly i am obsessed with roses. I love everything to do with roses. My middle name is Rose and this is where my obsession has came from. The photograph is very symbolic to me, its about my grandmother, my roses and also about what the flowers symbolised to my grandfather when he placed them there hours before i arrived. I have only changed the photos colour using the Sepia setting on my camera. I feel this photo fits the brief as it combines two symbolic inspirations in my life, my grandmother (and my bereavement) and Roses.
