To rate a Photo:

Part of an ongoing project to record street happenings: a damp Saturday on Church Street in Whitby. The 'cow-boy' had just danced himself silly in front of the crowds by a seven-piece pirate band of buskers and was taking a break. The woman walking her dogs appeared and although I took several shots as she got nearer, this first one gave better dynamics and scale.

This photo has been digitally retouched.

i like this alot - it makes me smile because the guy in the suit seems to be taking life very seriously. there's a real story behind it. im thinking he got to the end of walking up the alley way and then decided he'd damn right had enough! its abit of a shame that the other person was coming up the alleyway. also - although i realy like the greens and pinks on the rail and the mossy wall perhaps it would make a more stricking shot in black and white? the humour might show even more that way...?

I very much like your subject here. The only thing I would say is that........ precisely because of the title you have chosen I think I would have had the lad as the main subject and have cropped out the rest. I would be inclined to crop from the end of the left hand side of the alley to exclude the woman, and so to have the lads feet come across to about 2/3 of the lower part of the pic. For me it would have more impact, and also take out the distraction of the woman and the pink hand rail thing. The lad is telling a great story all by himself, and doesn't need any extras I think.
