To rate a Photo:

This image shows my personal goal of attempting to capture some real meaning in an image, and trying to get over the awe I feel when I see the place in real life. This may be in buildings (normally historic buildings), graveyards, statues, or a landscape that not only takes your breath away, like this one, but also has some "feel" to it. This is an HDR, with a little dodging. - not really "retouched", but I will flag it as so anyway. Beachy Head is the highest chalk cliff in England at 530 Feet. The light house at the bottom isn't little, it is simply dwarfed by the sheer size of the cliffs! This is reportedly the most popular spot for people to "end it all" in England, as the crosses, & flowers here in this shot seem to attest. This photo has been digitally retouched.

3 exposure HDR, processed in "EasyHDR" to keep true tones. A small amount of dodging on the lighthouse & the crosses to lift them slightly from the background, so that they were the second point to draw the eye after the horizon, which is deliberately cutting the image in half.
