I have been involved in a 365 project taking a self portrait everyday for a year. My objective is learn something about myself. Over time I have seen my changing moods and expressions and it's interesting to see what you all see. I guess a self portrait is about a closer examination of yourself and I felt the magnifying glass perhaps smacked that notion home.

This photo has been digitally retouched.

Converted to B&W from RAW. Increased contrast a little and tidied up a few stray hairs on my head.

    Funky idea - I love this one. The eye ball would also be quite interesting if it had some colour on it too, I think.

    Like the idea very similar to the use in the film Top Secret. Good use of black and white.

    Thanks for your comments guys! @ emmanuelwood, I did think of doing that, but I thought it might have looked a little forced. I thought it was getting to the point of being overdone as it was! @ Alexio, Yeah I guess it's not that original as a concept, but I like to think I put my own stamp on it. @ Blue Adept, Tis indeed! I've never thought of that. I thought it looked better tonally as as a B&W. The colour was all a bit distracting.
