Hello Liz, this image carries a really livid green (that's good), which makes the graffiti stand out on the wall and the man stand out against the background. I think it makes it a bit more "biblical" to have him drawing in darkness and keeping out of the light. Pushing the contrast that little bit has added a further dimension to the shot. Excellent. P

Am I being stupid when I ask whether this was posed? If it was, I am not sure that I find it particularly useful. If the vicar really is doing this then you have pulled off something extraordinary.

Yes, it is posed. I work mainly with constructed imagery.

I still think it works even if its posed as it is not what you would expect to see so you are immediately drawn to it
