Awaiting the American Dream 1776 - 2008
This image represents the apparently abolished act of slavery last year was the bi-centennial anniversary of the cessation of transatlantic slavery. Yet the calculated ethnic cleansing of New Orleans has meant that more than 90% of the black inhabitants losing everything have still not been allowed to return to the homes of their births. (I don't have a chip on my shoulder I just hate to see injustice on such a vast scale.) The image was taken with the WB decreased manually to obtain the blue effect. I am the subject in the picture, I really did suffer for my art, sod the beating, hanging there for 7 seconds with my wrists contrained with a faux leather material waiting patiently for the timer, convinced me I would be dead before I could submit to this sort of barbaric treatment.
