Sammy J.
I have been into photography for around three years but only intermittently as I just don't seem to have the time to pursue it as much as I would like! I surprised and impressed myself a few years ago when I took some 'sunset shots' in Stockholm so I looked at studying the craft in more detail. I wouldn't say I'm a beginner but I'm still getting to grips with some of the techniques. At the moment I'm relying on what I think is a good eye for a composition, a bit of creativity and a fab camera! I like to look for reflections, shadows and unusual angles. (I would like to try portraiture but it still takes me a while to ponder all the settings and I fear my subjects would be bored and leave before I'd even taken a shot!) At the moment I prefer to take (and look at) pictures of specific and definite scenes or objects and need to develop my 'documentary style' skills. I'm looking forward to getting some comments as I don't have much work 'out there' yet and I would welcome some feedback. (Although my mother thinks I'm totally the best photographer in the world and she assures me she's never wrong!!!)
