I am an American expatriate living in the East of England (Essex). I enjoy doing things outdoors, love exploring local traditions, cultures and history, and learn whatever I can so I can pass it on. I love people and the quirky things they do(especially children) but also think that the everyday humdrum things we all do are important, because they are the base we all stand upon but seldom give a second thought to. I love to experience life and absorb as much of it as I can. I want to show others how I see the world and what I see that is beautiful and terrible in it.

In most cases I like to think my style is spontaneous. I like to show details or things that are overlooked in life or about people.
Growing up in the rural south of the United States, seeing the mixture of decay and thriving life in the same place...old traditions and new changes. My time in the armed services -seeing the world for the first time, but while wearing a uniform and recognizing that there are places in the world that did not always welcome me with open arms. Moving to another country as an outsider and trying to fit in, while still retaining my sense of self and my birthright. Also, the films I went to see in the cinema and photos I saw in magazines like National Geographic as a kid and a young man while growing up played a role in influencing me.
Anything and everything....people, landscapes, everyday activities, events and occasions where emotions are high, details that are often overlooked, the magical way children see the world. People who sacrifice themselves for others. The changing moods created by shadow and light and different seasons.
