I started taking photographs in the seventies. My first 35mm camera was an Olympus Trip. Then I upgraded to an OM10 with a standard, a wide-angle and a telephoto fixed-focus lens in the eighties. Later on, I replaced these lenses with a couple of zooms. Photography became too expensive for me in the nineties. I bought my first digital camera in 2004, a Sony CyberShot. Last year, I bought a DSLR, a Canon EOS 350D, with a couple of zooms.

I think the main influences on the photographs I take are competition and commerce. I think a good photograph is worth first prize and a very good photograph is worth real money.
I am inspired by the books and the magazines I read. I try to take photographs like those published in these books and magazines.
