Motion

Motion is everywhere; slow, fast, thick or thin; from human gestures and the crest of a wave to a motion carried.

It certainly inspired New Order back in 1990.

Motion is taken for granted but what different ways could you capture the movement of traffic for example, an animal feeding, a light flickering, a dancer dancing or a discussion reaching a conclusion?

Human movement is a great place to start; it’s abundant in our daily lives and can be captured in many different ways. Think about what motion you could capture using the medium of still photography, be it utilising the shutterspeed facility or freeze framing.

Study the quantity and variety of motion occurring all around you from the obvious to the subtle.
