Street Photography
This project is based on street photography. As a genre in photography it was probably made most famous by Henri Cartier Bresson who documented images of human activity from around the world.
Most notably he took the image titled 'Behind the Gare St. Lazare' in Paris 1932. This image is often referred to as the perfect photograph famed for being taken at the decisive moment.
Apart from Bresson there have been many other photographers over the years who have taken to the streets to try and capture a specific moment which resembles human activity. Photographers such as Martin Parr, William Eggleston, Stephen Shore, Brassai and Robert Doisneau to name but a few have all been famed for their works in the streets.
Street photography often tends to be ironic and distant from its subject matter which usually concentrates on a single human movement. Think of the theme of street photography as like holding a mirror up on society and capturing it in a photograph.
Just keep in mind when posting that you need the subject's permission for it.
Here are some examples of my own street photography.
