Contrast
Contrast can be striking or subtle. It can be surreal, unsettling or controversial.
It can convey emotion, or a political message. Sometimes, there is nothing more powerful
than the coming together of that which is opposite.
The scope here is vast. Look for opposites that occur in nature and in the urban landscape.
Look for opposites that occur between individuals and in society.
Look for opposites that you live with everyday that maybe you have never noticed before.
While you may find an abundance of textural, tonal and colour contrasts, also look for more abstract opposites. Say, the difference between rich and poor, strength and weakness.
