Projects are the focal point of Picture This. They are exciting opportunities for photographers of all backgrounds to give a personal response to an original brief and build a themed gallery of unique and interesting photos.
When you take part you'll get useful comments on your work.
Some projects are inspired by the series and others are suggestions from community members. Browse the galleries now, read the brief and upload a photo to join in.

Going for a Walk
The best way to experience landscape is to walk in it. Local park, city streets, beach, open countryside or mountains; however physically easy or demanding, the walk helps us tune in to the sensations of the landscape more deeply. The pace of the walk helps us take in detail, to stop and think, and to study what we choose to with our cameras.

Beauty in the Banal
This project is all about objects that we do not necessarily take notice of. Banal photography is a fascination with the everyday object; it is an expression of using the ordinary instead of the extraordinary within an image. You could class it under many genres such as a certain shape, colour or a scene, or it could just be a certain thing that somebody could find an unfamiliar beauty in.

Landscape
Ours is a world full of natural beauty which we share, yet only you can see the landscape as you see it, only you know how it makes you feel.
